| Art in the Lobby: COME SEE OUR FEATURED ARTISTS | Mar 09 2010 |
|
MARCH'S FEATURED ARTIST: TERRY STEICHEN, PAINTER Many of our clients are wonderful artists and our Art in the Lobby Program provides a creative experience in the visual arts. Select senior artists associated with NWPP are able to display their work in the Northwest Pilot Project lobby at 1430 SW Broadway, Suite 200. Artists are usually recommended by NWPP staff or fellow artists in the art group and contacted by the Art Group Curator, Doug Emmons. Doug schedules the shows that typically run for one month. The artist handles the price and sales of artwork. Our lobby is open Monday through Thursday 9 am to 4:30 pm and Friday 9 am to 4 pm. The exhibition is advertised in the monthly activities newsletter and on this site. The artwork, if requested is picked up and returned by NWPP. Artwork is made exhibition ready by the artist. Doug discusses labels, statements and special display requirements with each artist. Field trips, workshops, guest artists and art gallery visits are some of the activities available to participants in the Art in the Lobby Program. Please contact Dena Chilikos, Volunteer Program Coordinator at 503-478-6861 with any questions. |
