Accessing Client Services
Who We Serve: Northwest Pilot Project assists homeless and at risk seniors in obtaining and maintaining permanent affordable rental housing. We serve seniors 55 years and older in Multnomah County who are low income and capable of independent living.
Accessing Services:
We recommend calling (503-227-5605)to speak with NWPP staff prior to coming into the office as a walk-in. This initial phone screening will allow us to gather basic information about your situation and to make sure you are eligible for our services, and will give us a chance to inform you of any changes to our regular walk-in schedule.
Walk-In Hours: Mondays-Tuesdays-Wednesdays at 9 am and 1 pm and Thursdays at l pm (office is closed Thursday mornings, weekends and the 2nd Tuesday of each month).
Seniors are seen on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot predict how many people will need our services on any given day and are limited in the number of households we can serve each day. If you are turned away, you will be invited to return at another walk-in time. We advise you to plan to be in our lobby one hour prior to the start of walk-in hours to maximize your chances of seeing a Housing Specialist that day. We cannot guarantee your spot if you leave the lobby. You are responsible for holding your place.
What to bring: Bring identification, income verification such as a print out from social security, pay stub or bank statement, and contact information for your current and/or past landlords.
Please be prepared to wait for your assessment. We try our best to give each client adequate time and attention. We look forward to working with you.
