Bilingual Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) Case Manager

We are hiring a Bilingual PSH Case Manager to join our growing non-profit! NWPP is a fun and supportive organization that provides meaningful impact within the Portland community. 

Salary: $60,222 annually

Job Duties:                        

  • Maintain a caseload of approximately 15 very low-income seniors who have experienced chronic homelessness.
  • Work collaboratively and respectfully with clients to develop effective housing plans to address immediate and long-term housing and healthcare needs. 
  • Meet regularly with clients, primarily in community-based settings and always with a strengths-based and client-centered approach, to assist with access to resources and services that support their housing and health stability.
  • Provide assistance with housing applications, advocacy with landlords, move-ins into permanent housing, and/or eviction prevention services.

 Job Qualifications:         

  • Minimum of one year experience providing social services to low-income households.  
  • Advanced level of oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish, not specific to any one regional use of Spanish
  • Interest in working directly with people who may be experiencing a variety of challenges, including poverty, aging, homelessness, and significant health issues.      
  • Willingness to engage in meaningful training, self-examination, and action directed at promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with computers, databases, and commonly used software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the root causes of homelessness and unique challenges faced by seniors of color and other historically marginalized communities
  • Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive services to vulnerable populations
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

JV/AmeriCorps: Retention Outreach Specialist 

Northwest Pilot Project is looking to fill the role of Retention Outreach Specialist with a JV/AmeriCorps member for the 2026-2027 service year that begins in August 2026. The Retention Outreach Specialist will help us to:

  • Coordinate with seniors referred by Housing Specialists and Case Managers to obtain documents and complete applications needed for housing search and placement.
  • Perform home visits to each senior placed in housing.
  • Deliver basic kitchen and bedding items at time of placement.
  • Facilitate communication between the seniors and their apartment managers to ensure a successful start.
  • Orientation to local services like grocery stores and transportation for seniors moving to new neighborhoods.
  • Respond to seniors and apartment managers after placement on an as-needed basis when questions or concerns about housing, building rules or requirements, or other service needs arise.

Service Dates: August 7, 2026 through July 31, 2027
