Volunteers have always been an essential part of Northwest Pilot Project. We love our volunteers and have a variety of ways big and small that you can get involved.

Become a Volunteer

Some work directly with our clients through our Retention Program, helping with applications or escorting clients to appointments.  Others are involved behind the scenes, shopping for and putting together kitchen kits, bedding kits and comfort kits for our seniors moving into housing. Some donate other items such as bus tickets or detergent. Other volunteers help us once a year by getting pledges for and walking in our annual Walk-a-thon.  If you have the time, we have a way for you to contribute.

Our clients always need assistance with hygiene products! Many of our clients have no income. We help them apply for benefits, but receiving those benefits could take months or years. Their needs for the basics do not stop. Please drop off any quantity or combination of the items below to the NWPP office, 1430 SW Broadway, Suite 200, in downtown Portland during our regular service hours.

If you would like to get involved with NWPP please complete our volunteer application (above) or call Heidi Chimuku, Associate Director, at 503-478-6864 to discuss your ideas or email her at heidic@nwpilotproject.org.

Thank you for your support!
